The termination bar that secures the top of the membrane flashing was fastened on both sides of the joint. This is improper. Differential wall panel settlement led to fastener failure.They almost got it right, but the term bar should only be fastened on one side of the joint.THIS is the proper way to span a tilt-up wall joint when installing termination bar!Sealant failure at tilt-up wall joints is extremely common. Joint sealant should be checked every year as part of a maintenance program.
